I got off the plane expecting most of the people to have the New York accent but no. Then again most of the people in the area iam staying are tourists. There are a crap load of Taxi's in New York. There was probably 50-100 taxi's waiting at the airport to pick up people. Another thing I noticed when I got off the plan was the weather was nice and warm. Not like Winnipeg which is COLD. Jealous?

Times Square 7th ave.

First place I went to was Times Square. Cops are EVERYWHERE, but I suppose that's a good thing and I even got a picture with one! I will but up a picture of it later on...Saw the naked cowgirl was really impressed moving on...There is so much stuff around Times Square, and New York in general that it is a little overwhelming. I am surprised at how smoothly the traffic moves with the little space there is on the road.

And if your a pedestrian crossing the road it's probably a good idea to look both ways because I doubt they will stop but they do give you a quick honk. The sidewalks are crowded the stores are crowed and the street is crowded. They still have the "2009 Ball" setup on the building. During the day it looks pretty neat and at night it is almost completely different. There are some bleacher type thingy just for people to sit and take in the lights. I could probably just sit there for a long time and just watch all the people and lights. There are some really cool ads. There are whole stores dedicated to a single franchise.

I don't know how but apparently there is enough M&M products to fill 3 floors which I also have pictures of. Every Building is a sky scrapper which tends to make the store really narrow and a lot of floors. Also I saw Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.!(Forrest Gump)There is no such thing as a discreet store for example the McDonald's as 3 floors and a huge old school theater style sign outside.

*This of a random collection of thoughts. Some things I may have forgotten to add. This is more of a rough collection of thoughts on the day than a through journal. I have been writing down some keywords, and places to remind me to include them. I will probably re-write this every now and then until it is too my pleasing.
